ABOUT FCCCI CHINESE SCHOOL

For our community, for our children, by our volunteers
Federation of Chinese Community of Canberra Inc. (FCCCI) is a community-based non-profit organisation; FCCCI Chinese School started operating in 1994 and has now become one of the largest ethnic language schools in Canberra. It offers quality Chinese language programs to preschool and school-aged children. All of the teachers are native Chinese speakers, qualified and experienced in teaching Chinese to children. FCCCI Chinese School is funded by ACT government and supported by Chinese Embassy and local community as well. The School is run by a group of volunteering community workers and parent representatives. We always welcome parents and anyone who is interested in helping promote Chinese language to join the School Committee.

The School runs two streams of Chinese classes – Ma Liping Chinese and Jinan Chinese, to cater for different needs of the students. The school provides Chinese classes from Kindergarten to year 12. Students are aged from 3.5 to 18 years old. As demanded, the school also runs bilingual classes for local students from non-Chinese background families.
In addition, the school also runs children and adult drawing classes, Chinese calligraphy and brush painting, after school Chinese classes and Chinese folk dance class.
